The Journey
Your 7-day West Crete adventure begins in Chania, where Venetian architecture, colourful streets and waterfront tavernas provide the perfect introduction to the island.
From here, travel northwest to the breathtaking Balos Lagoon before continuing to Falassarna, famous for its expansive golden sands and spectacular sunsets. The journey then heads south to Elafonisi, where shallow turquoise waters and beautiful coastal scenery create one of Crete's most memorable beach destinations.
The second half of your road trip returns towards the northern coastline, beginning with the lively seaside resort of Agia Marina. Continue east towards Georgioupoli, known for its long sandy beach and relaxed atmosphere, before finishing in the charming coastal village of Kalyves.
With seven days to explore, there's plenty of opportunity to stop at traditional tavernas, discover picturesque villages and enjoy spontaneous detours along the way.
